Asia Cup 2022: The excitement is building up for the Asia Cup 2022. The tournament is just a day away and Sri Lanka will take on Afghanistan in the opener of the event. Talking about Pakistan, they will begin their campaign against arch-rivals Pakistan on Sunday (28th August). They have reached UAE and have already kick-started their preparations for the game.
Asia Cup 2022: Mohammad Wasim ruled out the tournament
Things are turning bad to worse for the Pakistan cricket team. After their premier pacer, Shaheen Afridi was ruled out of the tournament due to a knee injury, they suffered another blow on Friday (26th August).

Pacer Mohammad Wasim became the second player from Pakistan to be ruled out of the tournament. The fast bowler sustained a side injury during a practice session on Wednesday (25th August) and subsequently went for scans, which showed that he’s not match fit.
He will be now assessed by the medical team and the call regarding his availability for the England tour will only be taken if he gets clearance from the medical team.
In his place, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has named Hassan Ali in the squad as the replacement player. The right-arm pacer, who is currently working on his bowling at the National High-Performance Centre, will soon depart for UAE.

Asia Cup 2022: Probable Playing XI for Pakistan against India
With no Shaheen Afridi and Mohammad Wasim in the side now, the pacer battery is likely to be led by Haris Rauf along with Naseem Shah and Mohammad Hasnain. The batting department is expected to the remain the same as was in last series.
