LAS vs MIN Dream11: The WNBA has been steadily heading towards the Playoffs and we have seen some intense battles throughout the Regular Season. We still don’t know whether some of the teams will make it to the Postseason and two of those teams Los Angeles Sparks and Minnesota Lynx will clash here.

The Sparks have had a wild ride this season. They revamped the roster in the offseason but still are not sure of making the Playoffs, currently with 12 wins and 16 losses. They are still in the Playoffs hunt but an 80:90 loss to the Mercury hurt their chances.

On the other hand, the Minnesota Lynx have been boosted since the third week of June but they have once again lost the plot. They somehow kept their hopes alive defeating the Dream 92:85 as Aerial Powers banked in 25 points.

These two have met twice and both were close battles and in the last match-up between the two, the Sparks defeated the Lynx 85-83.

The Sparks need a big run to end the season

The Sparks are in need for a big push to cap the season off so that their chances of entering the Playoffs improve on a big rate. LA Sparks have had a wild rise. The exit of Liz Cambage punctuates the type of season they have had and things may not be alright in the locker. A below 50% win season can create such problems.

Nneka Ogwumike has been the major source on the offensive end and the Sparks have received huge help from her scoring-wise. But that’s it, the team has no other reliable scorer and even Nneka’s production has been off as of late. Chennedy Carter has made a case for bigger role but the three ball is off unless Katie Lou-Samuelson makes something happen. The defense can be flat out awful at times.

Lynx’s struggles

The Lynx has had a big struggle this season. They did a great job in the middle to recover from a 3 wins and 13 losses start but then they have fallen into same old habits. Forcing the issue on the offensive end and giving up big offensive runs, like they are one of the worst defenses at times. They have done well to maintain a distance from the Fever that are in the last position but the Playoffs hopes look slim at this point.

Aerial Powers led the recovering in the middle on the scoring end but Sylvia Fowles remains as important as she grabs big boards and supplies inside offense and defense. There are a lot of issues with the Lynx apart from these two and they lack the depth to make a deep Playoffs run. That is why a five-six game winning streak looks unlikely.
