India Squad for WI vs IND T20Is: In a massive breaking news development, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have announced the India squad for the upcoming five-match T20I series against West Indies. After the conclusion of the ongoing England tour, Team India is scheduled to visit the Caribbean in order to play as many as 5 T20I games and a three-match ODI series. The West Indies vs India series will kickstart with the ODI matches and the opening encounter is scheduled to start on 22 July, 2022 at the Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain, Trinidad.

The visiting Indian team have named an 18-member squad for the five-match T20I series against West Indies scheduled to begin next month and the big news is that the star duo of Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah have been rested as they have neither been included in the ODI squad. On the other hand, both KL Rahul and Kuldeep Yadav make their return to the national side subject to fitness. Incidentally, India have omitted their premier leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal from the T20I side and instead included both of Ravi Bishnoi and Ravichandran Ashwin.

The Rohit Sharma-led Indian team management will have some tricky decisions to make in order to choose the best possible playing combination for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2022. With the return of KL Rahul, wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant is likely to make a comeback in the middle-order. It will also be interesting to see whether the veteran duo of Dinesh Karthik and Ravichandran Ashwin are part of the playing 11 or not in the West Indies.
