Jasprit Bumrah ENG vs IND: In a massive news update, India’s premier speedster Jasprit Bumrah is not featuring in the playing 11 for the third and final T20I match against England scheduled to take place at the Trent Bridge in Nottingham. India got the better of England by a big margin of 49 runs in the second T20I encounter before having beaten the home side during the opening game of the series as well. The Rohit Sharma-led side will be eyeing to register a massive series whitewash in this three-match T20I series against England.

ENG vs IND: Why is Jasprit Bumrah Not Playing Today?

India’s skipper Rohit Sharma revealed at the toss that they have made some wholesome changes to their playing 11 that includes the exclusion of their pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah. After not playing the first T20I match, Bumrah made his return to the side for the second game where he picked up excellent figures of 2 for 10 in his three overs that also included a maiden. However, considering his workload management, the visitors have decided to rest their premier speedster before the start of the three-match ODI series against England.

“We would have fielded first. Had batted first twice, wanted to chase at least once. Four changes for us – Ravi Bishnoi, Avesh Khan, Umran Malik and Shreyas Iyer are in. They replace Bhuvi, Bumrah, Chahal and Hardik. We don’t want to miss out on the winning confidence, but there are a few things we want to have a look at before the World Cup, so the changes. We’re excited for Umran, want to wish him the best and give him confidence,” said India captain Rohit Sharma during the toss.

For this third and final T20I match against England, India have given crucial chances to players like Umran Malik, Avesh Khan, Ravi Bishnoi and Shreyas Iyer. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya and Yuzvendra Chahal are not playing today.
