SL vs AUS: In a big news update, Australia’s Marcus Stoinis and Ashton Agar have been ruled out for the upcoming second ODI match against Sri Lanka scheduled to start on 16 June, 2022 (Thursday) at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Pallekele. Australia registered an amazing 2-wicket victory against Sri Lanka in the first ODI match. The visiting Australian team have now taken a 1-0 lead in this five-match ODI series against the Lankan side.

Cricket Australia (CA) have revealed a disappointing news adding to their injury list as their premier all-rounder Marcus Stoinis has been ruled out for the entire remainder of Sri Lanka ODI series due to a side strain. On the other hand, left-arm spinner Ashton Agar has also ended up sustaining an injury to his side during the opening ODI match against Sri Lanka. Australia have called up Matthew Kunhemann and Travis Head immediately as they were part of the ‘A’ squad in the Island nation.
Australia’s Mitchell Marsh is also currently on the sidelines and is not available for selection due to injury in the ongoing Sri Lanka ODIs.
