Pat Cummins MI vs KKR IPL 2022: The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are in the penultimate stage of their Indian Premier League (IPL 2022) campaign. After their previous loss against Lucknow Super Giants, the two-time IPL champions will definitely need to punch above their weights and hope that some other results also go in their favour in order to qualify for this year’s playoffs. In their 12th game of the tournament, Kolkata Knight Riders will be up against the Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Mumbai on 9 May, 2022.
MI vs KKR IPL 2022: Is Pat Cummins Playing Today? Here’s the update
In the first league match against Mumbai Indians during IPL 2022, it was Pat Cummins who played an unbelievable innings with the bat towards the end to power Kolkata Knight Riders to an amazing victory. During the chase of 162 runs, Cummins blasted a blinder of a knock of 56 runs off just 15 balls to help KKR win the match with as many as four overs to spare. The Aussie Test captain also notched up the joint fastest half-century in the history of the Indian Premier League off just 14 balls.
However, Pat Cummins has failed to deliver since that game especially with the ball in the ongoing T20 season. The right-arm fast bowler has managed to take only 4 wickets from as many matches at a poor economy of 12. But the Kolkata Knight Riders might be tempted to bring back Cummins for especially his sensational batting record against Jasprit Bumrah.
