The team of Kolkata knows how it feels to lift the trophy at the end of a gruelling Indian T20 League. With a new captain, the team has put up some decent performances this season. From batting to bowling there have been players who have surprised the fans. However, the team lacks consistency. All-rounder Andre Russell snatched a victory from Punjab by hitting 70* runs earlier in the tournament. But, since then, the Trinidanian player has not made an impact with the bat in the middle order.

Pat Cummins once took the matter into his hands and dropped the jaws of many when he hit 56* runs off just 15 balls against Mumbai. However, since then, the Australian pacer has had a quiet season with the bat. In the last match, skipper Shreyas Iyer took charge and hit 85 runs off 55 runs. In the end, it was the might of Rajasthan bowlers who conquered the Kolkata batters.

Kolkata has some of the most experienced bowlers in the Indian T20 League. Earlier in the season, Umesh Yadav was the highlight of the bowling division. Till now, Yadav has bagged 10 wickets. Spinner Sunil Narine is showing his expertise with the white ball. With that being said, the team still needs some brushing in the bowling division.

Gujarat

Playing the Indian T20 League for the first time, Gujarat team has impressed the fans so far in the season. The team has won 5 out of their 6 matches. Interestingly, the team has a perfect blend of younger players and veteran players in the squad.

Captain Hardik Pandya is in tremendous form as he consistently added runs to the board and took wickets for the team. However, Pandya did not play in the last match because of a hamstring injury. But, it is expected that the all-rounder will be back in the squad for the next game. Batters Shubman Gill, Ayush Badoni, Deepak Hooda and David Miller have done a good job with the bat. Miller hit 94* runs in the last match against Chennai.
