PHX vs NOP Dream11: The NBA is into the Playoffs and we have already seen some high-quality fun battles that make up for some riveting viewing. As we traverse the lanes of the Postseason, we are bound to see some exciting series but don’t be surprised if there are some one-sided series. And here can be one of those types of series as the Phoenix Suns will host the New Orleans Pelicans.
The Suns will enter the game after blowing out the Pelicans 110:99 as Chris Paul turned up the heat with a 30 points-10 assists night in one of his best performances ever. During the loss, the Pelicans shot below 40% but did a great job on the rebounding end. The Pelicans looked down and out against the Suns which was not a great sign to begin a difficult series.
Host: Phoenix Suns
Visitors: New Orleans Pelicans

NBA Projections, Stats & Analysis
The Pelicans need a strong start
The Pelicans had one of their slowest starts, scoring just 34 in the first half. Jonas Valanciunas had a monster 25 rebounds night but that wasn’t enough because Ingram, McCollum, and Valanciunas shot poorly from the floor. McCollum was shut down by Mikal Bridges as the athletic wing made life hell for the veteran guard scorer.
Ayton has been a huge defensive presence too and Jonas was stifled. Herbert Jones also shot just 2/8 while Jaxson Hayes is disappearing from the rotation at this point with the emergence of Trey Murphy III and Larry Nance, the latter had a huge impact again with a strong scoring night, should the Pels give him 25-30 minutes at least?
For the Suns, the shooting percentage of Chris Paul and Deandre Ayton sums it all up. The veteran Guard Paul shot 75% on 16 shots while Ayton shot around 67% which meant game over for the Pelicans. Apart from that Bridges was a premier force on the defensive end but still found a way to get some decent offense. Cameron Johnson fired from the bench but it is mainly about the starting-five.
Fantasy-related tips
Either one of the Paul or Booker are fantastic fantasy points, while Booker brings more points, Paul can be explosive in terms of playmaking. Bridges is a must-have because you never know if he is in for a big offensive night. On the other hand, Ayton is a stable fantasy option too while Cameron Johnson looks like a more reliable Fantasy option than Jae Crowder.
For the Pelicans, McCollum and Ingram interchangeably are having big offensive nights so it is difficult to judge whom to include. Meanwhile, Jonas Valanciunas has an overarching impact as a rebounder and again, it is confusing whether to include him or Ayton in the lineup. Larry Nance is giving stability to fantasy lineups but has become a rather obvious choice at this point. Herbert Jones is a great filler player but doesn’t stuff the statsheet often enough.

NBA Scores, Fantasy Basketball Top Picks
Devin Booker(PHX)
Points: 25
Rebounds: 04
Assists: 08
Steals: 01
Don’t be surprised if a big scoring night for the isolation wonder Booker is around the corner, he just gets it done on the offensive end while being an all-around threat. I see him being in 26-32 points, 5-7 assists, and 4-6 rebounds range. Booker can be selected as a Star/Pro Player in the Dream 11 NBA Fantasy scenario.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 40-55
CJ McCollum(NOP)
Points: 25
Rebounds: 08
Assists: 06
Blocks: 01
Steals: 01
Shooting Guard McCollum has shown the way as an isolation scorer but he will need to be more cautious around Mikal Bridges as he missed nine shots against the premier wing. I see him in 23-31 points, 5-7 assists, and 4-7 rebounds range.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 35-55
Chris Paul(PHX)
Points: 30
Rebounds: 07
Assists: 10
Steals: 03
Blocks: 01
Gosh, what can I say about Paul whose hunger for the game remains the same since the late 00s. He has adopted as well as anyone to the modern game and his 75% shooting, just a couple of turnovers, bunch of steals, assists, and rebounds signify that. Expect a 16-22 points and 9-13 assists range.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 33-48
Brandon Ingram(NOP)
Points: 18
Rebounds: 05
Assists: 04
Steals: 01
Five turnovers and a 6/17 shooting doesn’t imply a great production from the Ingram who is an all-around phenomenon. However, he can bounce back and I do expect a 22-27 points, 4-7 rebounds, and 4-6 assists range from the electric wing.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 33-46
Deandre Ayton(PHX)
Points: 21
Rebounds: 09
Assists: 02
Blocks: 04
Although Ayton got massively outrebounded by Jonas, he still managed to outscore him and keep Jonas’ shooting percentage down. I believe he will be in 17-23 points, 8-12 rebounds, and 2-4 blocks range.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 28-40
Jonas Valanciunas(NOP)
Points: 18
Rebounds: 25
Assists: 03
Valanciunas showed his rebounding strength in full flow as he clinched 12 offensive rebounds but just shot 33%. Still, he is a major influence and I expect a 17-24 points and 13-18 rebounds range here.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 30-45
PHX vs NOP DREAM11 LINEUP BALANCERS
- Mikal Bridges(PHX) had 11 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks in the last game. Mikal played his heart out on the defensive end in the last game. I expect a 15-19 points and 2-4 rebounds range here.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 23-34 - Larry Nance Jr(NOP) had 14 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal in the last game. Larry has upped his game in the Postseason and I expect a 10-15 points and 6-9 rebounds range here.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 22-32 - Herbert Jones(NOP) had 5 points, 3 rebounds, 1 steal in the last game. The Defensive Forward will like to be more effective offensively and I expect a 6-9 points and 4-7 rebounds range from him.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 13-22 - Cameron Johnson (PHX)had 13 points, 1 rebound in the last game. Wing Cameron provides depth at the wing position. I expect a 12-16 points range here.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 14-22 - Jae Crowder(PHX) had only 1 point, 1 rebound, 1 steal in the last game. Crowder’s impact is more than the statline and helped keep Ingram at bay. I expect a 5-9 points and 4-7 rebounds range from him.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 12-22 - Trey Murphy(NOP) had 6 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists in the last game. Trey has rolled out some brilliant minutes lately. I expect a 7-11 points and 3-5 rebounds range.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 9-18 - Cameron Payne(PHX) had 2 points, 1 rebound in the last game. Payne is a terrific backup to Paul. I expect him to be in 6-9 points and 2-4 assists range.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 9-16 - Jaxson Hayes(NOP) had 4 points, 1 rebound in the last game. Athletic Power Forward Hayes has lost some minutes lately. I expect a 3-6 points and 3-6 rebounds range here.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 6-16 - JaVale McGee(PHX) had 7 points, 7 rebounds, 1 block in the last game. McGee gives terrific back-up minutes and I expect a 5-8 points and 5-8 rebounds range here.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 10-17
