DC Playing 11: Delhi Capitals have had a mixed sort of tournament so far. They were blown away by the onslaught orchestrated by RCB’s finished Dinesh Karthik in the last game, and now they find themselves reeling at the 8th spot on the points table with only two wins from 5 games against their name. Delhi’s problem is their middle-order batting which hasn’t fired together.
Their problems have elevated further with one of their players getting tested positive for COVID-19. How will they line up for their next clash against Punjab Kings on April 20 in Pune? Let’s discuss.
DC vs PBKS, Match 32 of IPL 2022 Team News
The Maharashtra Cricket Association Ground in Pune will be hosting match no 32 of Tata IPL 2022 between Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings. The Capitals will be up against two of their biggest match-winners from the past years i.e., Kagiso Rabada and Shikhar Dhawan who are donning Punjab Kings’ jersey this time around.

DC’s big concern is their out-of-form middle order. The Delhi Capitals’ middle order has been struggling to get going. The inclusion of Mitchell Marsh in the last game didn’t help their cause at all against RCB, and skipper Rishabh Pant also isn’t at his best. Lalit Yadav’s knock in the first game against MI was the only silver lining for the all-rounder this season, and since then he hasn’t been effective with the bat at all.
Rovman Powell has failed to do the finisher’s role for DC this year. He was bought by the franchise to do what Shimron Hetmyer did for them last year but the big Jamaican has failed in almost every opportunity he has been given so far.
Mitchell marsh tested COVID-19 positive. In a big blow to Delhi Capitals chances heading into the next game, all-rounder Mitchell Marsh has been tested positive for COVID-19 and would be missing this game.
Anrich Nortje still isn’t a 100% fit. Delhi is missing the services of their express bowler Anrich Nortje who still isn’t a 100% fit. We will have to wait for him to recover and get into the eleven.
