Who won today’s IPL match?: Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) locked horns with Delhi Capitals (DC) in match 15 of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2022) at DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. In what was a low-scoring thriller, the KL Rahul-led side held their nerves in the end and registered their third consecutive win of the season. They defeated the Rishabh Pant-led side by 6 wickets to claim the second spot on the points table.

Invited to bat first, Prithvi Shaw took Delhi Capitals off the flyer with his blistering 34-ball 61 runs. However, after that Delhi batsmen struggled with their timing and lost David Warner (4) and Rovman Powell (3) early after the first blow. Skipper Rishabh Pant (39*) and Sarfaraz Khan (36) played fighting knocks and helped their side post a total of 149 runs after quite middle-overs. For LSG, Ravi Bishnoi starred with the ball and returned with the figures of 2/22.

Chasing the target, LSG had a great opening partnership as skipper KL Rahul (24) and Quinton de Kock scored 73 runs for the opening partnership, that was broken by Kuldeep Yadav. Evin Lewis then struggled to time the ball well and was removed by Lalit Yadav for 5 runs off 13 balls. While others struggle with their timing De Kock scored a masterful 80-run knock to keep his side in the hunt. Delhi the kept things tight with the ball and took the match to the last over. With 5 runs needed off the last 6 balls, Shardul Thakur removed Deepak Hooda on the first ball. But Ayush Badoni then smashed four on the third ball to ease the pressure and the closed the game by hitting six on the next ball. His 3-ball 10 run knock helped LSG defeat DC by 6 wickets.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) keeper-batsman Quinton de Kock was awarded Player of the Match in today’s match against Delhi Capitals. The southpaw played a sensational knock of 80 runs and kept his side in the hut in a match, where almost every other batsman struggled with his timing. His knock was laced with 9 fours and two maximums and helped his side win their third game of the season by 6 wickets.
