Chris Gayle was a colossus when it came to the Indian Premier League (IPL). He was a brute force and hasn’t run out of gas even at the age of 42.
He started his career for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) after which he moved to the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). From RCB, he moved to the Punjab Kings (PBKS). He played four seasons for the Punjab-based team before being released by the franchise.

Chris Gayle boasts of the most sixes in the IPL
Chris Gayle holds the record for the most sixes in his IPL career. The left-hander smashed 357 sixes from 141 innings in his illustrious sojourn. Second on the list is former South Africa batter AB de Villiers, who hit 251 sixes.
Back in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2015, Gayle also smacked the highest number of sixes in a single IPL edition. The southpaw used to make a massive impact at the top of the order after playing some audacious shots without any fears.
