DAL vs MIN Dream11: NBA is heading towards the postseason and the desperate dash towards the Playoffs means that the results are going to be diverse. Before the Playoffs, we will see a mini Playoff-like battle in the form of a Play-in tournament and for various teams, even the current scenario has reached the Playoffs-like territory, especially teams that are in the bottom rankings, looking to secure a Play-in tournament spot. As the Western Conference is heating up, Dallas Mavericks take on Minnesota Timberwolves.
The Mavs have built a strong defensive unit and then with Luka Doncic as an MVP talent, the team has been harboring a winning culture. The rise of the Mavericks since January proves that they are in the running for the title but the road in the league is always stiff, ain’t it? So, can Doncic and co. scrap a winning streak now and push for a top-four squad?
The Timberwolves have been one of the most red-hot squads in the league for a month or so. They are one of the best offensive teams in the league and their versatility and depth at the scoring end have been a big-time difference-maker. They are now threatening the Nuggets to take over the seventh spot, and boy is that an exciting race!

NBA Projections, Stats & Analysis
The Western Conference scenario
The Suns have been making hay this season and they sit at the top of the Western Conference by a more than comfortable distance. The Grizzlies have sneaked past the Warriors for the third spot and the Warriors, that are on the third spot have been struck by Curry’s injury. Utah Jazz is at the fourth slot, a squad that has also built some distance but is still not comfortable enough. In the fifth spot, we have the Dallas Mavericks, and just behind them are the second most red-hot team in the West, the Minnesota Timberwolves, the team that took over the Nuggets after the latter lost to the Celtics today. The fourth-seventh spot race has certainly grown intense in the West.
The Dallas Mavericks lost their second game in a row on the road as they lost to Hornets 108:129. Luka Doncic did contribute 37 points but the Hornets had more balanced scoring as the Mavs played without Spencer Dinwiddie
There is no doubt that the Mavericks would barely be a Playoffs team without Luka and his ability to score at a high clip, rebound at a high rate, and also dish big-time assists. However, the Mavs have highly benefited from the defensive identity courtesy of a gutsy Dorian-Finney Smith, playing alongside Maxi Kleber and Dwight Powell, while Reggie Bullock also has been a huge factor when he has been active. Meanwhile, the three-guard lineup of Dinwiddie, Brunson, and Doncic has also worked out well as it gives the team multiple ball-handlers, playmakers, and shotcreators. However, the bench has been highly inconsistent these days so it is much better when Reggie Bullock returns so that Spencer can slate in as a solid bench scorer, or will the Mavs continue playing Spencer in the starting five?
The Timberwolves beat the Bucks 138:119 in the last game as Towns and Edwards had 20+ points nights. They have now won four games in a row
The Timberwolves have in a couple of weeks made the sixth spot their own for now and oh boy, with the Play-in tournament on the plate, that top-six or the seventh to tenth rank slots have become important. Getting in the top six not only means that you don’t have to fight through an additional round to enter the main field but it also means that you get the extra rest to be fresh and if there are injuries that can be fixed in a week or so, what a bonus that can be! D’Angelo Russell, Karl Anthony-Towns, and Anthony Edwards all bring versatile skills to the floor and this has to be one of the best complementary trios in the league. Meanwhile, Vanderbilt and Beverley add hustle to the mix. The bench depth has been incredible with Reid, Prince, McDaniels, Nowell, and Beasley, and the Wolves bench keeps churning out the different cast of characters that step up.
