WI vs ENG: In a massive breaking news, England’s pace bowler Craig Overton has been ruled out of the second Test against West Indies scheduled to begin from 16 March at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados. The first Test match between hosts Windies team and England ended in a draw after some brilliant batting performances from both the sides. Both these teams will now be aiming to take a lead in this three-match Test series and improve their position in this World Test Championship 2021-23 cycle.
WI vs ENG: Craig Overton OUT of 2nd Test?
Ahead of the second Test match against West Indies, the visiting England team have suffered a big blow as pace bowler Craig Overton is unwell and won’t be able to take part in the game. Thus, England have announced that right-arm medium pacer Matthew Fisher will be making his Test debut today at the Kensington Oval. This also means that the English side will be playing the second Test against West Indies with two pace bowling debutants in Matthew Fisher and Saqib Mahmood.
Earlier in the day, premier fast bowler Mark Wood was ruled out of the WI vs ENG second Test due to a right elbow injury which he sustained during the Antigua Test.
