Rohit Sharma led-team India reached the United Arab Emirates and received a grand welcome at the Dubai International airport. Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s fan page posted a video of Team India getting overwhelmed by the welcome ceremony in UAE.

Meanwhile, India will play their tournament-opening fixture against Hong Kong at the Dubai International Stadium. In the next 24 hours of the opening fixture, India will lock horns with the arch-rivals in a riveting clash at the same venue. The match is expected to be a high octane battle.
BCCI revealed that all the players are not going to travel together. They will go in batches. Some will leave early while others will join them later.
Indian captain Virat Kohli is rested for the tournament, and his deputy Rohit Sharma has been given the opportunity to lead the side in Asia Cup. In the squad, one can see a new entry, Khaleel Ahmed. He is a left-arm-fast-medium bowler. He was bought by the IPL side Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2018.
