PHX vs NYK Dream11: NBA has a strange timeline. The bulk of injuries, COVID-19 pandemic, and a ton of other factors can influence the roster makeup. We also had the trade deadline that ended up changing the projections for various teams. And as the season ticks on, we are seeing various teams either peaking or just falling apart. The season is again a great example that sets a high tone is important at the end of the day because catching up becomes at the tail-end of the season. Anyway, in this cross-conference affair, the Phoenix Suns will take on the New York Knicks.
The Suns are a brilliant team and although they are missing Devin Booker and Chris Paul, they are the only team to hit the 50-win mark. This squad has been developing some exciting young players in the form of DeAndre Ayton, Mikal Bridges, and Cameron Johnson. With some veterans in the mix, the depleted Suns can be a handful.
On the other hand, the Knicks have been far from brilliant this season. Each month, they have only become worse and they keep on falling apart. With the way things are going, there is no doubt that we will see some wholesale changes to this squad. The team entered with a lot of promise this season but it seems like New York fans are left to pull their hair again.

NBA Projections, Stats & Analysis
Suns: No Paul and Booker but they have built decent daylight
The Suns have done a great job of garnering a bunch of wins and going on two 10+ game-winning streaks surely have put them in a position where they can afford the injuries to their backcourt duo of Paul and Booker. The Guard combo form the foundation of much of the success with Devin Booker putting in a bunch of buckets and Chris Paul is the best passer in the league right now. Of course, having two of your foundational players sidelined can hurt the team balance but this is where the team depth will be tested and it may not be a bad practice before the intense tussle of the Playoffs begins. I am not saying having Booker and Paul out helps the matters but it can also help in testing the depth.
Deandre Ayton has done a superb job throughout the season and he is surely one of the best Centers in the league. The Forward combinations are really exciting, wings Mikal Bridges and Cameron Johnson have been riveting with their ability to play hard on both ends. While Bridges is an incredible slasher, Johnson can light it up from different areas of the floor. Jae Crowder complements the team well with his pesky defense, experience, and can also bring more than decent offense. Shamet and Payne can do a decent job in the backcourt while Aaron Holiday can also be an effective option. So, as the team awaits the return of Booker who may return in a few days, the others can more than hold their own and it is unlikely that the Suns are going to fall from the first spot.
Knicks: A ridiculous season
The New York Knicks and the Los Angeles Lakers seem to be competing for the “Most Frustrating Team”. The storied Franchise has seen a lot of painful seasons but this must hurt especially. Why? Last season, the team was doing a great job of being an elite defense while also doing a great job of eking out close wins. This hasn’t been the case this season when the management formed a veteran unit. They brought in veteran guards Evan Fournier and Kemba Walker, the two well-known offensive players. While Fournier has been decent, Walker has reached a mutual agreement to not play for the rest of the season and his days with the Knicks are numbered. This duo didn’t bring much to the plate and the system especially didn’t suit Kemba.
The major reason for the Knicks’ failings has been their lack of efficiency. There are times when almost all shooters go ice-cold from the field and Julius Randle and the fans of the team are at huge odds at this point. On the other hand, while RJ Barrett has been impressive offensively, he has to work on his efficiency too. Alec Burks has struggled a lot, same goes for Immanuel Quickley and with Derrick Rose out, the team’s Point Guard position has been virtually nonexistent. The Knicks are a sinking ship and they have lost six in a row, blowing big leads, not able to close games, and with their offense taking a vacation even their much-heralded defense has been hit too. The Knicks fans must be wishing for the season to end at this point.
