LAC vs LAL Dream11: The NBA landscape shifts with each game. You can say that as no lead is secure in the league, the long winning streaks are no assurance that you will finish among top teams unless it is a 15+ game winning streak like the Lakers. The Western Conference has been a tough one again this season and the battle for the Play-in spots has picked up recently with the stocks of some squads rising. In this game, the two LA teams in Clippers and Lakers are going to face off here.
The Clippers have done a great job as a squad that is missing two of their best players and their potential third option on the offensive end. The experience combined with some brilliant coaching by Tyronne Lue has kept their campaign ticking. As they are in the eighth position, the avenue to acquire the seventh rank is wide open but Minnesota is running away with the spot.
On the other hand, the Lakers have been struggling to make ends meet on each end of the floor. They have been playing a dull brand of basketball, unable to avoid big runs of the opposition and leave too much to cover for the last quarter. LeBron has continued to carry the bulk of the load but he hasn’t received that much support.

NBA Projections, Stats & Analysis
Lakers: Gosh, what a mess of a season
Lakers have a lot of catching up to do if they are to seal even a Play-in spot at this point. They are at the ninth position, right now in the Play-in tournament contention but the New Orleans Pelicans are playing a highly improved brand of basketball while the Spurs may also catch up at this point with the way Lakers have fared. They are on a three-game losing streak, losing seven out of their last ten games, not being able to get it together on both ends of the floor. Surely, their struggles have received ample social media and mainstream media coverage, but LeBron recently said that he will go on no matter how much the Lakers fall.
Russell Westbrook may not share the same sentiments. He has not found the Lakers system alluring at all and it is clear at this point that he works better in a system where he has the sole keys. He did have a successful time playing alongside Kevin Durant but the model of playing with superstars just doesn’t work anymore. Anthony Davis’ injury has weakened the remaining balance and the Lakers a big-time renaissance from here, which seems highly unlikely for the rest of the season. Malik Monk and Carmelo Anthony have been two effective options as the scorers but this team needs much more from the defensive and protecting the offensive rebounds.
Clippers: The fight is admirable
Clippers have kept on churning out wins and they have been one of the most inspirational stories this season. Not only they have been two games above the 50% win mark recently but a couple of those wins have come against strong squads such as Mavericks and the Warriors. Heck, this team pushed the league’s best Suns to the brink when they had Chris Paul and Devin Booker active in the backcourt. This is a testament to the experience in the frontline, an underrated bench depth that has been bolstered by the inclusion of Robert Covington and a “never-say-die” spirit. This spirit and coach Ty Lue deserves props for his work.
Reggie Jackson has been doing a great job as the floor general while Terance Mann’s two-ways and improved offensive production have given the team a huge boost. Ivica Zubac’s hot scoring and rebounding have ensured that the Clippers are on a four-game winning streak, and this has been the major difference-maker. Marcus Morris has provided much-needed production at the wing while Batum and Covington supply quality defense at the big-Forward position. Kennard, Coffey, and Hartenstein bring versatility and depth off the bench.
