And what a treat they will get when they swim into the beautiful basketball action between the Golden State Warriors and the Dallas Mavericks.
The Warriors have been the second-best team in the league and through their incredible depth, they have been inching closer to the 50 wins and they can end up securing the home-court advantage at least till the West Semis. As they wait for Green, how many wins can they gather?

On the other hand, the Mavericks have ten wins more than losses, and the Nuggets have the same record as them. The Mavs have been doing a great job on the defensive end and they have been able to close out games courtesy of their superstar Point Guard Luka Doncic.

NBA Projections, Stats & Analysis

Warriors: Can they keep it together till Green returns
Warriors have been dubbed as the title contenders since December as they have played a great brand of basketball on both ends of the floor. However, since Draymond Green has been out due to injury, their defense hasn’t shown the same grip as they did earlier. But this doesn’t imply that they are a terrible defensive team, with Wiggins, Porter Jr., Thompson, Curry, Kuminga, Looney, Poole, Lee, and Payton II, they still have a terrific perimeter defense. This is why it isn’t like that they are compromised on the defensive end but Green will give them an edge during the Playoffs for sure.

Offensively, the team has achieved a great balance in the scoring column. Guards Jordan Poole, Klay Thompson, Stephen Curry, and Gary Payton II form a solid quarter, with Curry having the reins of the scoring and the playmaking side. Thompson can heat up real quick while Poole keeps on making adjustments to his bench role. Payton II is a livewire while Wiggins can produce a bunch of points and defense at the wing position. Kuminga is a tremendous big Forward as a scorer and he plays like a veteran in his rookie season. Otto Porter Jr., Damion Lee, Nemanja Bjelica, and Juan Toscano-Anderson round off an impressive unit.

Mavericks: Defense is their way, can it make them reach lofty places?
The Mavs are one of the best defensive units and their ability to slow down oppositions helps them limit their chances at the basket. Their wing-to-Center lineup of Dorian Finney-Smith, Reggie Bullock, Maxi Kleber, and Dwight Powell, surely plays a huge role in shutting down oppositions. Dorian is perhaps the defensive anchor while Bullock is a serviceable individual defender with Powell and Kleber being effective help defenders. This frontline has been doing a great job for the Mavs throughout the season and their influence can’t be stated enough. After shipping off Kristaps Porzingis, their scoring balance has been hurt at the Center position but their defense remains premium.

Now, when you shape in Luka Doncic in this setup, someone who can create a large number of shots, can set up team-mates, rebound, and push the pace, while also being a terrific playmaker, the results will be fantastic. Jalen Brunson as the other one-guard has been highly successful and provides balance while Bullock has raised his offensive game. The acquisitions of Spencer Dinwiddie and Davis Bertans look promising and both have had some strong games. If these two keep it going consistently, the Mavericks bench can surely be one of the best in the league. Therefore, the Mavs can’t be taken lightly and can be a tough one to deal with in the Playoffs.
