Suyash Prabhudesai is an Indian batting all-rounder who plays domestic cricket for Goa in domestic cricket. Born on 6 December 1997, Suyash made his List A debut for Goa in 2016-17 Vijay Hazare Trophy against Bengal, and after a wait of few seasons, he made his foray into the First Class cricket in the Ranji Trophy 2018-19 and later T20 debut in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2018-19.

A middle-order batter, Suyash had a shaky start to his domestic career. In his maiden run during the Ranji Trophy 2018-19, he accumulated only 286 runs in 6 matches while averaging 23.83. The debuts didn’t do well in the List A and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy as well. Despite the inconsistencies with the willow, the 24-year-old earned a reputation of being one of the hardest strikers of the ball in such a short span of time, which eventually landed him a contract with the Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2021. As far as his bowling is concerned, Suyash can bowl medium pace, which has grabbed him dismissals on a few occasions across domestic cricket.

In spite of a rough start to his cricketing journey, Suyash Prabhudesai has turned out to be one of the better batsmen for Goa in the T20s and First Class cricket. In the Ranji Trophy 2019-20, he amassed 636 runs in 10 matches, averaging a whopping 70.66 – the best among the Goa batters for that season – comprising a hundred and 5 fifties. In the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021-22, the middle-order batter struck at a rate of 148.27 while amassing 86 runs across 4 outings. However, he finished with a mediocre run in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2021-22, where he could amass only 134 runs across five matches, with merely a fifty to his name and striking at just under 80. Nonetheless, the youngster has immense potential underneath and the future looks bright for the Goan cricketer.
