As I was dipping into the trade rumors while writing this, I read that there are some rumors that Porzingis can be traded soon. Well, that is a shocker but yes, if we take into account the last season, it was discussed around the last trade deadline too. Perhaps, Porzingis hasn’t met the expectations with the team and they are looking to accumulate some type of talent before he leaves them in free agency? God knows how much truth is in this rumor but yes, if that move is pulled, it can certainly bolster the Raptors, depending upon what they will give in return. So, what about that rumor?

As of now, Luka Doncic is the helmsman, and oh boy, can he run a show or what! He has been shooting well from the floor and also provides great rebounding and high-quality playmaking. Meanwhile, Jalen Brunson acts as the second playmaker and sustains the continued offensive effort with a bunch of floaters and mid-rangers. Powell, Dorian Finney-Smith, and Maxi Kleber are the power players who sustain the defensive effort. Reggie Bullock has shown an uptick in scoring and he has been also playing great defense, he is always a wonderful player to have on your roster. The Mavs are also looking to sign Goran Dragic who will be likely be bought after being traded to the Spurs.

Clippers: Pulled great moves but in midst of a tough schedule
The Clippers brought in Covington and Powell with trade and they have also acquired Rodney Hood and Semi Ojeleye, well let us see if the latter of the two figure in the rotation much. The team has also been on a tough schedule, first, they played a tough Bucks team and got blown out and they engaged with Grizzlies, a team that continues to pile on wins. Now, they will be playing Mavericks twice in a row, both away from home fixtures. Surely, this will require a lot of defensive discipline and offensive flow against teams that are some of the best in the current window. This has also resulted in the last two losses.

With Norman Powell though, they can develop a sustainable offense as he can be effective in both half and fast-break situations. On the other hand, Robert Covington gives a superb touch-up to the bench and this team can come through. The only problem remains how Reggie Jackson adjusts to the new-look team with Powell and Covington and how Morris Sr. responds to the bolstered and logjammed Forward depth to a point. Coffey, Mann, Hartenstein, and Kennard round off a more than the serviceable bench. How long will it take the new-look Clippers to adjust?
