India’s Highest Score in ODI came against West Indies in the year 2011. During the fag end of 2011, the ‘Men in Maroon’ toured India for three Tests and 5 ODIs. The fourth game of the 50-over format saw the home side create history. They registered their Highest Score in ODI, which remains unbroken by them.

The fourth ODI was played at Holkar Cricket Stadium, Indore and it saw carnivals of runs from the bat of Indian players. Opting to bat first, Indian openers Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir left no stone unturned and make West Indies look clueless for their 176 runs opening partnership.
While Gambhir was back in the hut after his run a ball 67 runs, Sehwag continued his carnage on the West Indies bowling line-up and created history by hitting the double hundred. The right-hander scored 219 runs and his knock was laced by 25 fours and 7 sixes. He got desired support from Suresh Raina, who scored 55 runs, Rohit Sharma (27) and Virat Kohli (23) and helped India post their Highest total in ODI. They registered a massive total of 418 runs on the board.

Defending the target almost every Indian bowler chipped in and on account of superlative bowling performance, the Virender Sehwag-led side bundled out West Indies for 265 runs and won the match by a big margin of 153 runs.
India’s lowest score in ODIs
India’s lowest score in ODIs came during the tri-series between India, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe. It was during the final between Sri Lanka and India at Sharjah. Chasing the target of 300 runs, India suffered a batting debacle. They were bundled out for just 54 runs. None of the Indian batters crossed the 12-run mark as Chaminda Vaas wreaked havoc. The pacer took 5 wickets to bowl them out for a low total.
