After losing the opening wicket in the form of Janneman Malan, South Africa captain Temba Bavuma was also sent back to the pavilion courtesy a brilliant direct at the bowler’s end by Indian skipper KL Rahul. Incidentally, the Proteas skipper was looking for a quick single while playing a drive in the mid-off region but he was found just short of his crease as Rahul came with a phenomenal effort in the field. However, the Indian players including former captain Virat Kohli were allegedly caught on the stump mic abusing Bavuma giving him an angry send-off.
