Duanne Olivier is a right arm fast bowler who was born in Pretoria on 9 May 1992. He made his domestic debut for Free State in 2011, at the age of 19. But his career kick started in 2014/15 domestic season, where he featured for the Knights team. In 2016/17 first class season, Duanne Olivier was the leading wicket taker with 52 dismissals, which put him in the selectors radar.

Duanne Olivier has been a fantastic exponent of the red cherry, and has scaled a total of 502 wickets in the first class cricket. Apart from taking wickets with the new ball, he has the skill of reverse swing as well to take wickets with the old ball. In 10 Test matches and 2 ODIs, he has scalped 48 and 3 wickets respectively. He has impressed in List A and T20s as well, with 64 and 66 dismissals as well.
