SA vs IND, 1st Test Weather Update: The second day of the opening Test match between South Africa and India was completely washed out without a single ball being bowled in the entire day due to persistent rain at the SuperSport Park in Centurion. This was after Team India got off to an outstanding start on the opening day of the first Test match where opening batter KL Rahul notched up a sensational century.

According to the latest weather forecast, the Day 3 of the Test match (28 December) is expected to witness a lowest temperature of around 14 Degree Celsius while the highest will be nearly 26 Degree in Centurion. However, there are no chances of rain on Tuesday during the play and this also means that we can expect a total of 98 over being bowled in the day without any rain delays. The weather is likely to be sunny with good conditions for some riveting Test cricket action between India and South Africa.

After winning the toss and opting to bat first in some challenging overcast conditions, India’s opening pair of Mayank Agarwal and KL Rahul got their team off to an incredible start at the top. Both the batters showed great amount of temperament and skills to keep the South African bowlers at bay and came out unscathed at Lunch on Day 1 with the scorecard reading 83 for no loss. After compiling a brilliant opening partnership of 117 runs, Mayank got out for an excellent knock of 60 runs that included a total of 9 boundaries.

Hosts South Africa might have thought of a possible comeback as Lungi Ngidi picked up two crucial wickets of Agarwal and Cheteshwar Pujara off consecutive deliveries. However, Indian captain Virat Kohli then joined hands with KL Rahul for another fine resisting stand of 82 runs for the third wicket. Kohli once again failed to convert yet another start in the longest format of the game. On the other end, Rahul was batting remarkably well having scored a staggering century. At stumps on Day 1, India were 272 for 3 with KL Rahul batting on 123 runs while Ajinkya Rahane was 40 not out.
