IND vs NZ, 1st Test Live Score New Zealand 249/6 at Tea on Day 3: Indian bowlers all over the visitors

After an exciting first session of the third day of the first Test match between India and New Zealand at Green Park, Kanpur, the hosts were all over the visitors in the second session of the day and took 4 wickets in the session to put the Kane Williamson-led side under immense pressure.

Tom Latham and Ross Taylor came to bat in the post-lunch session for New Zealand. The duo was very watchful initially as Indian bowlers bowled tight lines to them. But just when it looked that batters are looking to score runs, Axar Patel provided his team with the wicket of Ross Taylor for 11 runs and then followed it with the wicket of Henry Nicholls in his next over for 2 runs.

Tom Latham then joined hands with Tom Blundell and tried to bail his team out of the trouble but Axar Patel was on the top of his and took his third wicket to send Latham packing for 95 runs to leave New Zealand in all sorts of trouble.

Rachin Ravindra, who came to bat after Latham, looked positive for his 9 runs but a peach of a delivery by Ravindra Jadeja saw him back in the hut. Tom Blundell showed great patience for his 73-ball 10 runs and made sure that New Zealand don’t lose another wicket in this session.

At Te on Day 3, New Zealand are 96 runs behind India’s score and are 249/6 with Tom Blundell and Kyle Jamieson at the crease on 10 and 2 respectively.

IND vs NZ: Tom Latham falls after a valiant 95-run knock 

Tom Latham surely was the best batter from New Zealand. Opening the batting, the southpaw showed great grit and determination and along with being watchful, kept ticking the scoreboard. He stitched crucial partnerships with Will Young and Kane Williamson and helped his team get close to India’s first innings total of 345 runs.

Latham brought his half-century yesterday and batted with positive intent on Day 3. While the wicket kept tumbling at the other end, the southpaw continued putting pressure on the bowlers. Just when it looked like he’s all set for his Test century, Axar Patel removed him for 95 runs.
