After weeks of entertainment, the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 has reached one final night. The two semi-finals of the marquee tournament gave fans everything to cheer about. After two enthralling contests, New Zealand and Australia paved their way into the summit clash, that will take place at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on 14th November (Sunday).

Devon Conway ruled out of the final against Australia

After clinching an emphatic win over England in the semi-final of ICC T20 World Cup 2021, New Zealand has suffered a major blow. Wicketkeeper Devon Conway has been ruled out of the final of the marquee tournament.

The left-handed batter sustained an injury when he struck his hand on the bat after getting out against England. The wicketkeeper went for the X-Ray, which confirmed that he broke the fifth Metacarpal of his right hand, which further rules him out of the final against Australia on Sunday.

New Zealand coach Gary Stead confirmed the same and said that Conway is gutted with himself and is determined to support the team.

“He’s absolutely gutted to be ruled out like this at this time. Devon is hugely passionate about playing for the BLACKCAPS and no one is more disappointed at the moment than he is. He’s determined to support the team in anyway he can for the remainder of the tour before he returns home to recover.” Gary Stead said.
