IPL Point Table, Orange Cap List and Purple Cap List after PBKS vs SRH match today

After the end of first double-header day in the phase 2 of IPL 2021, the point table has seen some changes. In the first match, Delhi Capitals defeated Rajasthan Royals by 33 runs. Chasing a target of 155 on a slow pitch in Abu Dhabi, the Royals could manage just 121/6 despite Sanju Samson’s 70*. The second game though, was a tight one. Punjab Kings finally got a win as they successfully defended 125 runs on a difficult Sharjah wicket. Sunday’s double headers are likely to produce two enthralling contests.

The point table has turned yet again as Delhi Capitals move to the top surpassing Chennai Super Kings. Both CSK and DC have been the best teams of the season so far and with every win, the contest between the two is getting interesting. Rajasthan Royals have moved to second last after their loss to Delhi Capitals. Sunrisers Hyderabad’s narrow loss to Punjab Kings by 5 runs has further worsened their position. They have now lost 8 games and are out of the playoffs race.

Orange Cap List after PBKS vs SRH IPL match
After the double headers on Saturday, the Orange Cap list has seen some changes. Shikhar Dhawan remains in the top of the list followed by KL Rahul. Sanju Samson’s 70* has moved him into top 5 of the Orange Cap list. CSK’s Faf du Plessis is third on the list. Both the Punjab Kings openers are in the top 5 of this list which is a good sign for the team. Mayank Agarwal is 5th in the Orange Cap list currently.

Purple Cap List after PBKS vs SRH IPL match today
Apart from the top spot, the purple cap list has seen some players making their way in the top 5. Avesh Khan keeps his second spot with an excellent performance with the ball on Saturday. Morris didn’t play the game against DC but remains third on the list. Punjab Kings pacers Arshdeep Singh and Mohammad Shami complete the top 5 list with 13 wickets each. Shami took a brilliant 2-14 against SRH while Arshdeep had figures of 1-22 in 4 overs.
