With the series being levelled at 1-1, both the sides so far have matched each other for a blow to blow in the ongoing Test match. Despite displaying a poor batting performance in the first innings, visitors then put on a clinical bowling show to put England in all sorts of trouble however, the duo of Ollie Pope and Jonny Bairstow took the advantage of the sunny conditions and helped Joe Root-led side to take first innings lead of 99 runs.

While the ongoing fourth Test match between England and India so far has been of the high intensity, young Indian opener Prithvi Shaw on the other hand stole the limelight with the light moment.

It was during the tea break on Day 2 when Prithvi Shaw stepped on the field and was seen intimidating the bowling action of veteran Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh.

IND vs ENG Live: England takes first innings lead of 99 runs 

After bowling out India for 191 runs in the first innings, the England cricket team displayed a decent batting performance and took a slender lead of 99 runs. Resuming with the overnight score of 53/3 the Joe Root-led side were in a spot of bother after they lost two wickets in the quick succession of time in the morning session.

Jonny Bairstow and Ollie Pope together made sure that they take their team into a comfortable position and stitched 89 runs partnership. While the former was trapped in LBW by Mohammed Siraj for 37 runs, the latter went to score 80 runs. Crucial contributions from Moeen Ali, who scored 35, and Chris Woakes, who scored 50, in the end helped England take a healthy lead in the first innings.
