After suffering a disappointing loss against New Zealand in the final of the ICC World Test Championship, a massive challenge awaits Virat Kohli and his men as they are set to lock horns against England in the five-Test series.
The Test series will be crucial for skipper Virat Kohli as questions were raised on his captaincy after the loss in the summit clash against the ‘Black Caps’. India has always struggled against the quality seamers of England and it will be interesting to see if the visitors will be able to dominate this time around on that front.

Virat Kohli-led Team India would be looking to beat England in home conditions and register their first Test series win since 2007 in the UK. On the other hand, the Joe Root-led side will be looking to avenge their defeat over India after a 3-1 loss earlier this year.
With less than 24 hours remaining for the start of the Test series between the nations, Sky Sports has unveiled a promo for Virat Kohli ahead of the much-anticipated Test series.

England vs India: Virat Kohli’s form will be crucial for Team India in England.
Going into England series, Indian skipper Virat Kohli’s form would be vital for Team India. The Indian skipper hasn’t been in good touch off late. It’s been a long time since the Indian batting sensation scored a century. In the last 14 innings, he managed to score only 3 fifties with the last century coming against Bangladesh in 2019.
Virat Kohli has a below-par record in England’s conditions. The swashbuckling batsman has 727 runs at an average of 36.35, including two centuries against ‘Three Lions’. During his first tour to England in 2014, which he calls the worst phase of his career, Virat Kohli scored just 135 runs at an average of 13.40 in five Tests.

However, in 2018, the Indian skipper set the stage on fire when India toured England as he scored 593 runs from 10 innings at an average of 59.30. If the Indian skipper can replicate the same heroics as of 2018 there’s a fair chance that Team India can defeat England in the Test series in which will be their first win since 2007.
