Last season’s Champion League finalists, Liverpool will travel to Selhurst Park to take their next challenge in name of Crystal Palace after thrashing West Ham by 4-0 in the season opener. On the opposite, Crystal Palace took a 2-0 lead against newly-promoted Fulham in their opening clash with goals from Jeffrey Schlupp and Wilfried Zaha and would be eyeing to continue the momentum.

With both the teams coming after making a winning start to their Premier League campaign, expect it to be power packed encounter. The Eagles strengthened their squad with Cheikhou Kouyate, Max Meyer, and Jordan Ayew while Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp believes Wilfried Zaha’s new signing to stay with Crystal Palace till 2023 to be a “spectacular transfer”.

For Crystal Palace, Max Meyer is set to make his debut.

Matip is regaining his fitness after hip injury and may feature in the game against Liverpool.

Cheikhou Kouyate is expected to make his first appearance for Palace alongside Luka Milivojevic.

Palace’s Scott Dann has been ruled out while Jonathan Williams, Connor Wickham are in doubts.

Liverpool might undergo just one change- bringing in captain Jordan Henderson back in midfield alongside Naby Keita and James Milner.

Crystal Palace head-coach Roy Hodgson has all the players at his disposal with the two unspecified players that picked up knocks last week against Fulham are available for selection.

For Liverpool defender, Joel Matip may be included in the matchday squad but expect him on the bench only, while fellow center-back Dejan Lovren has been ruled out as he recovers from a pelvic problem so Joe Gomez is likely to continue alongside Virgil van Dijk.

But we could see some changes in the middle for Liverpool as Jordan Henderson is expected to captain the side from the start, replacing Giorginio Wijnaldum in the starting 11.

Summer signing Fabinho may feature from the bench.
