SEHWAG ASKED FOR AN UMPIRING COURSE QUERY
Yesterday, HRD ministry’s official Twitter account was seen tweeting to former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag and was seeking help with an umpiring course. As a result of this, twitteratis were left perplexed.
The tweet was very humorous and was very surprising at the same time. While many people thought that the account has been hacked, some thought of it to be a human error. It seems that the user behind the account had forgotten to switch account before tweeting his query.
HERE’S THE TWEET
But Sehwag, who is a member of Delhi and District Cricket Association’s cricket committee, did not reply to the tweet. Interestingly, even the tweet was soon deleted from the handle. But by that time, it was too late as many twitterati had got their eyes on it.
RAJAT SHARMA IS THE NEW DDCA PRESIDENT
DDCA had recently appointed Rajat Sharma as their new president. The three-member committee, which have former Test players Aakash Chopra and Rahul Sanghvi as its other two members, “will be authorised to form various Selection Committees as per the recommendations made by the Lodha Committee and the BCCI guidelines for the state association and to give valuable guidance to the Association for improvement of cricket in Delhi.”
Even the India opener Gautam Gambhir is a “special invitee to the committee”.
