IND vs SL: India will take on Sri Lanka in the first T20I today at R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo. The host side lost the ODI series 1-2. The first ODI was a comprehensive victory for the visitors, followed by a narrow win in the second ODI. Sri Lanka batted well in all the matches and put on a solid bowling performance in the final ODI, winning the game with 3 wickets in hand. The last game was affected by rain as it started pouring midway into the Indian innings.
Colombo Weather Update
It is a cloudy and humid Sunday in the Sri Lankan capital, and rain might play a spoilsport again. It is not the best news for cricket fans as they don’t want to see a 20 over-game further shortened. The game is scheduled to start at 2000 hrs local time.
Weather during the day will be partly cloudy, with temperatures soaring to 29 degrees Celsius. With light winds and humidity in the eighties, it will feel like 34 degrees. Between 5 to 11 pm, there are chances of thunderstorms and rain with an 80% probability.

The T20 World Cup is in sight, and this is a chance for the Indian youngsters to showcase their skills on the international stage. For the first game, the visitors are likely to field a strong XI. The batting department would be more or less the same as the one that played the first ODI. The Pandya brothers could slot into the lower middle order and also provide bowling options. Varun Chakravarthy is expected to make his debut. He has been knocking on the selector’s door for a while now.
