Colombo Weather Update
In the middle of the monsoon season, the island nation generally gets low clouds and strong winds. Although the temperatures are in the range of 27-29 degrees, it feels like 34 during the day because of high humidity. After sunset, the chances of rain are 30-50 percent. However, after 9 pm, the chances are 70 to 80 %.
In rain-curtailed matches, teams usually opt to bat second. As Duckworth-Lewis comes into play, they have a better idea of the target and how to approach the innings. The toss could play an important factor here.

Thanks to Deepak Chahar’s heroics, India won the second ODI against Sri Lanka on Tuesday and took an unassailable lead of 2-0. The hosts put on a much-improved performance but were left distraught at the end of the game, failing to pick up the wickets of tail-enders. Chahar and Bhuvneshwar Kumar combined to make 84 runs for the eighth wicket and India sealed the series with a narrow win.
Earlier in the series, India overpowered Sri Lanka in the first ODI. Chasing a total of 263, Prithvi Shaw blitzed to 43 off 24 runs. He got Player of the Match for his knock. Shikhar Dhawan and Ishan contributed with solid half-centuries.
SL vs IND 3rd ODI: Sri Lanka is playing for pride in the final game. Shikhar Dhawan and Co. are looking to whitewash the host side, but they have made several changes. Sanju Samson, Rahul Chahar, Chetan Sakariya, Nitish Rana, and Krishnappa Gowtham would be playing their first ODI. With five debutants for the men in blue and Sri Lanka also making three changes, it could turn out to be an interesting watch if rain Gods are kind.
