Asia Cup 2018 promo spices up India Pak rivalry

Star Sports is known for their intriguing promo videos for cricket events. This time too for the Asia cup 2018 event, the channel has released a promotional video which looks extremely interesting and has already created a buzz among fans.

The biggest attraction of this year’s Asia cup is India versus Pakistan game. The contest between these two neighbouring nations has always remained one of cricket’s most-famous rivalries and given the fact that in the recent times both India and Pakistan meet only in multi-nation tournaments, this match is now even more exciting.

And Star Sports has naturally cashed on this potential high-voltage drama to promote the Asia cup event for which the channel is the official broadcaster.

This promotional video uses the ‘knock-knock’ joke to talk about the neighbours and then adds the punchline, ‘Neighbors who will knock-out’ to promote the tournament.

As usual, the promo is witty and exciting which has been the speciality of Star Sports’ promo videos in the past.

Star Sports has also added another promo video which showcases conversations between two neighbours who are trying to pull each other’s leg. This video uses everyday situations between friends and office collogues.

This video too subtly promotes the Asia Cup tournament theme which is a rivalry between the neighbours.

The Asia cup 2018 starts from September 15 and the final will be played on September 28. This event will be played in the UAE. India versus Pakistan match is on 19^th September. India will enter the tournament as the defending champions. In the previous edition of the tournament in 2016, India defeated Bangladesh in the final to clinch the title.

In the upcoming days, Star Sports would probably release more promo events for this tournament and from the response of the fans, it seems that everyone is excited about it.
