WTC Final: India Playing XI Announced for final against New Zealand

WTC Final India playing XI: In a massive breaking news, Team India has surprisingly announced their final playing XI for the inaugural ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final against New Zealand. The Test match will start from 18-22 June at The Rose Bowl in Southampton. While putting to rest all the talks from the experts and several cricket pundits, India have decided to field their best possible playing 11 for ultimate high-pressure encounter against New Zealand.
WTC Final: India Playing XI
The duo of Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill will be opening the batting for India in the Southampton Test match against the Kiwi side. Cheteshwar Pujara, captain Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane and wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant will comprise of the middle-order for the sub-continent team. Despite the current overcast conditions at the WTC Final venue, India have decided to include both their spinners, Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja in the playing XI while the trio of Ishant Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami are the three fast bowlers.

One of the most noticeable omissions from the India playing XI is of fast bowler Mohammed Siraj who has performed amazingly well since his debut tour to Australia. However, the Indian team management has decided to play their most experienced bowling attack in Ishant, Bumrah and Shami who have done exceedingly well in this 2019-21 cycle on a consistent basis to help their team qualify for the WTC final against New Zealand.

The India vs New Zealand WTC final live score and streaming will be available on the Star Sports Network and and Disney+ Hotstar app while the Test match will start at 3 PM IST.
New Zealand are yet to announce their final playing XI for the WTC Final against India as there isn’t still any clarity on whether captain Kane Williamson and wicket-keeper batsman BJ Watling are completely fit or not.
