Prithvi Shaw has been a perfect candidate for memes. The above meme was posted by Shaw on Instagram after he scored 227 in Vijay Hazare Trophy.
Shaw’s U-19 World Cup win made him an overnight sensation. He also piled on runs in Ranji Trophy. In 2017-18 Ranji Trophy, he scored his second consecutive century and his fourth in five first-class matches. Young Prithvi Shaw went on to make his Test debut at the age of 18 against West Indies and scored 134. He was adjudged the Man of the Match for his century.
But he soon lost his place due to fitness concerns and doping ban. Shaw came back strongly and became the first player to score over 800 runs in the 2020-21 Vijay Hazare Trophy. He was in blistering form in the IPL 2021 before it was postponed.
