Mohammad Amir Retirement: Pakistan Cricket suffered a massive blow when their premier pacer Mohammad Amir announced a sudden retirement from international cricket in December 2020. The former left-arm speedster took the big decision regarding his international career after imposing several allegations against the Pakistan team management and head coach Misbah-ul-Haq. However, the 29-year-old cricketer is all set to make a comeback in international cricket following discussion with Pakistan Chief Executive Officer Wasim Khan.

Earlier, Mohammad Amir revealed that he was not getting his due amount of respect in the national team and even mentioned that he will be available once the current team management is out of power. However, in a recent update, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) CEO Wasim Khan stated that Amir is a valuable asset for the Pakistan team and also revealed that he is trying to make an effort to sort out the problems between the left-arm pacer and the team management.
“I also made it clear to him that the path he adopted was not right as a senior player. I think Amir is a valuable player for us even now and we will now make efforts to bring about a rapprochement between him and the coaches,” said Wasim Khan as quoted by Times on India.
