Krunal Pandya Donation: Mumbai Indians all-rounder Krunal Pandya has made a significant contribution towards the Covid-19 relief work.
The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 season was postponed on May 4 after a flurry of positive Covid-19 cases got detected inside IPL 2021 bio-bubble. Kolkata Knight Riders were the first team to report the coronavirus cases within their camp; Varun Chakravarthy and Sandeep Warrier. But the worst fear came out as some players and assorted staffs from other teams also got an infection. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had no other option but to take the hard call and decided to postpone the season.
Since then, IPL teams and players have come forward in numbers to help the government in fighting against the pandemic.

IPL 2021 To Be Held In UAE?
IPL 2021 was brought to a mid-season hiatus on May 4 by the Covid-19 pandemic. But the recent developments show that the season could be completed. As per reports, Phase-2 of the IPL season could be held in the United Arab Emirates between September and October.
India’s five-match Test series in England is set to start on August 4. But a slight shuffle in the schedule could allow the IPL governing council to ponder the possibility of completing the season.
Where IPL 2021 Phase 2 May Be Held?
WTC Final: No Pandya Brothers In India Squad
Pandya Brothers; Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya; both got overlooked by the Indian selectors for the WTC Final against New Zealand and the subsequent five-match Test series against host England.
Hardik has been battling with a back issue that limits his contribution to the team, playing mainly as a batsman, while Krunal is yet to earn a test call.
SL vs IND Tour: Krunal Pandya To Get The Nod?
BCCI is planning to sandwich a short limited-overs tour to Sri Lanka between WTC Final and England tour.
However, since players involved in WTC Final can’t travel to Sri Lanka due to travel restrictions, a completely different look Indian team is likely to be named for the Sri Lanka tour, without the big guns like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja and Jasprit Bumrah.
That means, there’s an opportunity for all those players who failed to make the cut for the WTC Final and England tour.
Krunal Pandya is definitely in contention. He made a solid start to his international career and should be in the Indian team that is likely to be coached by Rahul Dravid.
