MI Playing 11: A rejuvenated Mumbai Indians will face a struggling Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2021 here at Delhi. After starting off the tournament slowly, the defending champions are slowly getting back to their usual best. That was evident in the last game where they stopped Chennai’s winning juggernaut thanks to Kieron Pollard’s masterclass. Overall MI and SRH have played each other in 17 matches in which MI leads 9:8. These teams also met each other earlier in the season in which Mumbai prevailed by 13 runs. With momentum on their side, Mumbai will fancy their chances here.
All players in the MI squad are available for selection. They are likely to retain the same combination that defeated CSK.
MI Playing 11 (likely)
Rohit Sharma (C)
Quinton de Kock (wk)
Suryakumar Yadav
Krunal Pandya
Kieron Pollard
Hardik Pandya
Jimmy Neesham
Dhawal Kulkarni
Rahul Chahar
Trent Boult
Jasprit Bumrah
Quinton de Kock and Rohit Sharma seem to be getting runs and have looked dangerous at the top. The focus will be again on Pollard as his brute power got Mumbai out of the jail in their last match. The season hasn’t been great for Hardik Pandya so far and he is yet to play a substantial innings. All the bowlers were expensive in the last game with spearhead Bumrah returning his most expensive figures in IPL. Mumbai will hope for a better performance in that department.
