The 27th match of the IPL is a mouth-watering contest between the two most successful IPL Teams- Mumbai Indians (MI) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK), slated to take place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Saturday. Often referred to as the ‘El Clasico’ of Indian Cricket, the rivalry is so fierce that it keeps almost all cricket enthusiasts glued to the screens.
While CSK are on a roll- having won five matches (of the six played in a row), MI have been seen slouching this season where they have won three of the six matches they played. Ahead of the clash, CSK are on the top conquering the points table while MI are resting at the fourth position.
Both the teams, however, are well acclimatized to slow the pitch conditions at the Arun Jaitley Stadium as both of them emerged victorious in their previous respective clashes at this venue.

Chennai’s predicted playing XI
While both sides would be acing well to win the match, let’s cast some light over the predicted playing XI for the CSK.
The opening pair comes a no-brainer which is expected to be led by Ruturaj Gaikwad and Faf du Plessis. England all-rounder Moeen Ali would put forward his foot at the number three position which would then be guided by Suresh Raina and Ambati Rayudu.
With MS Dhoni, the captain wicketkeeper secured, the all-rounders Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran are to be likely seen in the playing squad.
As for the bowling unit having the likes of Shardul Thakur and Deepak Chahar, CSK will have to decide for the one bowling spot currently juggling between Lungi Ngidi and Imran Tahir.

Ngidi or Tahir? Who should feature in CSK’s playing squad?
Despite Delhi’s sluggish pitch likely to assist spinners, CSK are likely to continue with their Lungi Ngidi ahead of Imran Tahir, their playing combination against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in their last game at Delhi. With Moeen Ali and Ravindra Jadeja successfully foxing the opposition with the spin, pacer Ngidi has a compelling chance to feature in the squad.
Probable XI: Ruturaj Gaikwad, Faf du Plessis, Moeen Ali, Suresh Raina, Ambati Rayudu, Ravindra Jadeja, MS Dhoni (c/wk), Sam Curran, Shardul Thakur, Deepak Chahar, Lungi Ngidi/Imran Tahir
