New Zealand and Royal Challengers Bangalore cricketer Kyle Jamieson is known for hitting the hard lengths with the ball. However, he is also very handy with the bat and is a fearsome striker of the cricket ball. Punjab Kings bowler Riley Meredith found it out the hard way as he came in the firing line when Jamieson stuck a meaty blow. Jamieson’s straight drive smashed in Meredith’s right knee. The blow was so ferocious that the bowler left the field immediately.

The incident happened in the 20th over of Royal Challengers Bangalore’s innings. The game was beyond the grasp for RCB as they needed 47 runs off the last 6 balls.
With the game already settled, Jamieson decided to have some fun. He drilled the first ball of the 20th over into mid-wicket boundary for a big six.
On the next delivery, Meredith pitched the ball up. Jamieson cleared his front leg and whacked the ball down the ground. The ball was hit straight down the ground with so much pace that the bowler had no time to react or move away.

Meredith could only jump to avoid the blow. However, his hands were too late to stop the ball and the ball crashed on his right knee.
The PBKG bowler was in pain and he didn’t hide it. Meredith was hit so hard that he decided to leave the field. Indian pacer Mohammad Shami completed the remaining over.
