PBKS vs MI IPL : Punjab Kings will take on Mumbai Indians in the 17th match of Indian Premier League 2021 at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Friday, 23 April. Punjab Kings have lost three back to back matches and will look to return winning ways while Mumbai Indians is also coming with a loss and they too will aim to get back on winning ways.
PBKS vs MI Stats Preview
Punjab Kings’ performance in the last three losses have been very poor. In the last match at Chennai against Sunrisers Hyderabad they just fell flat. Their batsmen couldn’t bat on the slow surface of Chennai. The likes of KL Rahul, Mayank Agarwal, Chris Gayle need to bat better and one of them has to go for big shots from the start and then in middle order Nicholas Pooran, Deepak Hooda and Shahrukh Khan have to take responsibility. In bowling Ravi Bishnoi can be a given chance in place of ineffective Murugan Ashwin and like last match they shouldn’t go with only three proper bowlers and two all rounders.
On the other side, Mumbai Indians have been decent so far but their batting in the second half of their innings have been very poor. Their hitters Hardik Pandya, Kieron Pollard and Krunal Pandya are struggling to play big shots. Opener Quinton de Kock too has looked out of touch till now and the duo of Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav have looked in fine touch and they need to play big innings to cover other batsmen’s form and in bowling they are doing very well but bowlers too need a fighting score at least to defend it.
