CSK Playing 11: Mumbai will host Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals in the 12th match of IPL 2021. Both the teams are coming off wins in their previous matches after suffering losses in their respective first games. CSK will be particularly pleased with the way they thrashed Punjab chasing the target in less than 16 overs. In 23 matches played between these two sides, 14 have been won by Chennai while 9 have gone Rajasthan’s way. In the last season though, it was Rajasthan which got the better of Chennai on both the occasions. Chennai would look to return the honors this time.
Lungi Ngidi will be available for selection after completing his quarantine but CSK are likely to continue their winning combination. Here is how their eleven could be shaped up for this match:
CSK Playing 11 (likely)
R Gaikwad
F du Plessis
M Ali
S Raina
A Rayudu
M Dhoni (C) (wk)
R Jadeja
S Curran
D Bravo
S Thakur
D Chahar
Gaikwad showed promising form last year but this season hasn’t been great for him so far. CSK’s strength is their experience which helped them bounce back in the last game. Moeen Ali has been in superb touch with the bat but the eyes will be on skipper Dhoni once again. With Deepak Chahar producing a match winning spell with the new ball, their confidence will be on a high.
