KL Rahul Run Out: After a brilliant performance both with the bat and ball in the Australian tour across formats, Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja missed a lot of cricketing action due to injury. However, the left-arm spin bowling all-rounder has completely recovered and is currently representing the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League. After the loss to Delhi Capitals in their opening encounter, the Chennai Super Kings are currently playing their second match of IPL 2021 against the Punjab Kings at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
KL Rahul Run Out by Ravindra Jadeja’s rocket arm throw
After losing the toss and being asked to bat first, Punjab Kings got off to a poor start losing their opener Mayank Agarwal in the very first over of the match for a 2-ball duck off a beautiful in-swinger from CSK pacer Deepak Chahar. The onus was now on the in-form Punjab Kings skipper KL Rahul to guide his team towards a fighting total on this tricky Wankhede wicket but Ravindra Jadeja displayed a stunning effort in the field to run out the opposition captain. On the fifth delivery of the third over, the pair of Rahul and Chris Gayle went for a needless single but then decided against it, however, with a single stump to aim at the non-striker’s end, Jadeja came in with his special rocket arm throw to send the Punjab Kings captain packing back into the pavilion.

After affecting a superb run out, Jadeja also took a wonderful diving catch to dismiss the dangerous Chris Gayle in the 5th over of the game. However, the star of the moment is certainly CSK pacer Deepak Chahar as he bowled an incredible opening spell picking figures of 4 for 13. Chahar picked up the big wickets of Mayank Agarwal, Chris Gayle, Nicholas Pooran and Deepak Hooda to break the backbone of Punjab Kings batting line-up. Due his superb spell, the Chennai Super Kings are currently bossing this game.
