By the time the auction ended, his price rocketed through the roof with Punjab Kings, rechristened from Kings XI Punjab from last season in a bid to change the fortune, shelving out a huge Rs 5.25 crores for his services.

During the 2014-15 season, he was selected for Ranju Trophy, but his debut came four years later, in 2018.
