Suresh Raina Run Out: Suresh Raina marked his return to the Indian Premier League (IPL) with a sensational knock in his first outing for Chennai Super Kings. He looked every inch of his former shadow when he used to be a lynchpin for Team India. But sadly, his brilliant inning came to a disappointing end, while his team, CSK, also fluffed the lines against Delhi Capitals.
Suresh Raina Run Out in CSK vs DC IPL 2021
Raina took the leaf out of his own books as he played some incredible shots on his way to a well-deserved 50 while batting in CSK vs DC IPL 2021 match. He ended on 54 off 36 balls and reached his fifty with a six off Marcus Stoinis.
Raina was that good, and comfortable on the pitch that, even if you didn’t watch him batting in CSK’s first IPL 2021 match, you can imagine the shots he may have played. And you can be sure about your guessing. All the lofted shots, he plays to pierce the inner circle and the calculated flicks over to his legs, and to the on the side, it was a sight to behold watching Raina round back the clock.
However, the 34-year-old met a disappointing end. Playing the shot on to his leg side, Ravindra Jadeja was always running for two runs, but the all-rounder ran into bowler Avesh Khan while turning for the 2nd, but Raina, watching the ball and thinking about two, didn’t realise that Jadeja stopped running. It was too late for Raina with Rishabh Pant running him out. Here is the video
