Kiran More Corona Positive: The upcoming 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has already witnessed some body blows due to the recent surge of COVID-19 cases in India. And now in another casualty, Mumbai Indians’ (MI) scout and wicket-keeping consultant Kiran More has tested positive for the vastly spread coronavirus. The former Indian wicket-keeper batsman was part of the Mumbai Indians bio-secure bubble ahead of their tournament opener against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Chennai on April 9.

Kiran More Covid Positive
The Mumbai Indians have released an official statement mentioning that More is currently asymptomatic and has been put under isolation. The statement further added that the Mumbai franchise is following all the health guidelines issued by the BCCI. It was also informed that the MI medical team will continue to monitor the former wicket-keeper’s health while abiding all the necessary BCCI protocols.
“Mumbai Indians’ scout and wicket keeping consultant Mr. Kiran More has tested positive for Covid-19. Mr. More is currently asymptomatic and has been isolated. Mumbai Indians and Kiran More have followed all the BCCI health guidelines. The MI medical team will continue to monitor Mr. More’s health and abide by the BCCI protocols,” said the official statement released by Mumbai Indians.

IPL 2021: Covid-19 second wave adding to BCCI’s troubles
Already two important players of IPL 2020, Delhi Capitals’ Axar Patel and Royal Challengers Bangalore’s Devdutt Padikkal have tested positive for COVID-19 while several members of the groundstaff at the Wankhede Stadium have also contracted to the deadly virus. Both the Delhi and Maharashtra governments have announced night curfew in the states. However, the good news is that the players who are staying inside the bio-bubble are allowed to train as per their routine schedule and also the IPL 2021 games in Mumbai will go as per the original schedule.
