South Africa Playing 11: After suffering a three wickets defeat in the 1st ODI, South Africa will have no other option but to get the win in the 2nd ODI if they are to stay alive in the three-match series. The previous turned out to be a nerve wracking affair as it went to the very last ball. However, Faheem Ashraf took the all important one run at the final ball to get his side the win. At one stage it seemed like Pakistan were cruising their way to a comfortable win with Babar Azam striking 103, while, Imam ul Haq scored 70.
But, the Proteas sprung their way back into the game by picking wickets at regular intervals post the 33rd over which put the pressure back on Pakistan. However, Rizwan and Shdab Khan’s vital 50 run partnership played a big role in the visitors crossing the line.
The hosts South Africa were decent with the ball in hand, but might opt for a few tweaks in the batting department. Rassie van der Dussen’s 123 and David Miller’s 50, there weren’t significant performances with the bat. That being said, this is how the playing eleven for South Africa could shape up as for the 2nd ODI
