Virat Kohli abuses Shardul Thakur : Just like the first T20I match, not many things went in India’s favour in the third India vs England T20I as the hosts suffered a thrashing 8-wicket loss at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. England dismantled the Indian top-order courtesy speedster Mark Wood’s brilliant spell where he took 3 wickets while Jos Buttler also played a remarkable unbeaten knock of 83 runs off just 52 balls to lead his team to a comfortable win. Indian captain Virat Kohli also played an incredible innings of 77 runs off just 46 balls to help his team reach a fighting total of 156 for 6.

IND vs ENG: Virat Kohli loses his temper on Shardul Thakur
In the chase, England opener Jos Buttler continued to play attacking cricket from the start to put the Indian team on the backfoot. With not much runs on the board, fielding was surely a key aspect for the hosts and the Indian players were guilty of making some reckless mistakes in the game. During the 12th over of the England batting, Virat Kohli was seen losing his cool and even showed his anger to Shardul Thakur following a lazy piece of fielding that allowed the pair of Jos Buttler and Jonny Bairstow to take an extra run.

Did India’s poor fielding cost them the 3rd T20I?
India surely did not have their best day in the field against England in the third T20I match. After losing the toss and being asked to bat first on a tricky wicket, India found themselves in a big trouble at 24 for 3 inside the powerplay. Virat Kohli’s stunning innings of 77 runs then helped them reach a fighting total of 156 runs but Jos Buttler’s power-packed innings with the bat guided England to an easy win. Apart from Shardul’s misfielding, Kohli and Yuzvendra Chahal also dropped crucial chances in the field and thus, India’s fielding was surely below-par in the third T20I.
England currently leads the five-match T20I series 2-1. India and England will be locking horns in the fourth T20I starting on 18th March at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
