IND vs ENG: Ben Stokes removes Rohit Sharma with a corker of a delivery

Without much of a doubt, England all-rounder Ben Stokes has surely bowled his heart out in this Test match so far picking up the prized scalps Indian captain Virat Kohli and a set batsman in Rohit Sharma. While Kohli was dismissed for a duck off an incredible short delivery, Rohit fell prey to a brilliant in-swinging ball from Ben Stokes. India had already lost four wickets until lunch on Day 2 and now when Rohit was batting nicely at 49, on-field umpire Nitin Menon gave the Indian opener out after which DRS was also taken by the batsman.

Interestingly, the ball-tracking showed umpire’s call on both the impact and hitting the wickets and thus, Rohit was forced to walk back to the pavilion. This was Stokes’ second wicket in the match after an impressive half-century with the bat in the first innings.

The fourth Test match hangs in balance

After the end of the first day of the fourth Test match, not many gave England a chance to script a comeback, however, the visitors have done otherwise. England made a very brave decision of picking just three specialist bowlers in James Anderson, Jack Leach and Dom Bess on a wicket which looked very good for batting on Day 1. However, the trio of Anderson, Stokes and Leach have bowled sensationally well to leave India in a big trouble at Tea on Day 2 with the scorecard reading 153/6. With Rishabh Pant and Washington Sundar at the crease, India still trail by 52 runs from England’s first innings score.
