- Before going after his dream of being a cricketer, he even worked as a salesman when he was 16 to support his family financially
- Imran Tahir played for Pakistan U-19 cricket team and then he even played for Pakistan A team. As there were so many spinners waiting to get their debut for the Pakistan National Team, he moved to England and started playing County Cricket
- After trying out his luck in England he went to South Africa and started playing in their domestic cricket for five years almost then he got his first international breakthrough
